There are a lot of firsts across ‘SOS’ and ‘F2F’ is one such first. On the tune, SZA goes full rock star with this pop-punk anthem that is more reminiscent of an Avril Lavigne song than anything SZA has made before. Another experimental track from SZA, she jumps from the high-flying guitars of ‘F2F’ to the waltz-like romance of Mazzy Star on ‘Nobody Gets Me.’ Heartbreakingly honest, ‘Nobody Gets Me’ is SZA at some of her most raw and vulnerable as she is forced to look in the mirror and see the relationship for what it is. A true masterclass, ‘Nobody Gets Me’ alone would solidify SZA as one of this generation’s brightest minds.
